wow.

i have had about five other journals on this website, dated back from 2002.
managed to read every single post on every single journal, and i am completely baffled by how much of an idiot i was. hell, i'm still the same idiot, just...different.
i don't have the audacity to say that i'm any better than what I used to be, or any smarter.
definitely wiser. those old, infinite feelings don't die, i guess.

the other day coming back to work from my lunch hour, there was a lawn-mowing service truck that had two whiteboards with "life's sayings", i guess you would call them. Usually I would roll my eyes at that sort of thing, but they weren't your average, "How's my driving? Call 1800-eat-shit" or some jesus-praising propaganda. One said,

You are what
you cannot let
go of,

and the other said,

Life is sweet
Death is bitter
That's the deal

For some reason, maybe it was my mood that day-whatever. But for some reason this struck and its whiteboards with cheesy mottos on them struck my fancy. I busted out the Holga, incidentally the only camera nearest to me (amongst the five in my car, jesus christ) i instantly knew i wasn't going to get a clear shot of this truck, particularly the whiteboards, and of course, all that came out on the polaroid was the truck itself and two whiteboards with seemingly nothing written on it.

I see that this post is driving towards pointlessness, so I'll end it now
